The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), Regulation (EU) 2025/40, introduces a harmonised European framework for packaging and packaging waste. It applies from 12 August 2026, with additional requirements coming into force progressively over the next few years.

For pharmaceutical and life-sciences supply chains, the PPWR increases the importance of packaging optimisation, recyclability, reuse, material information and technical documentation. For temperature-sensitive healthcare products, these requirements must be considered alongside the essential thermal and mechanical performance of the packaging.

Deep Freeze VYPE is EMBALL’ISO’s PREMIUM+ reusable insulated packaging solution, designed for shipping packages at very low temperatures (< –70°C), with a temperature hold time of up to 244 hours (more than 10 days) without re-icing. This extended autonomy significantly reduces logistics costs associated with dry ice replenishment while helping secure the cold chain.

The EMBALL’ISO Standard Export Parcel is a STANDARD-level insulated packaging solution designed for the transportation of pharmaceutical and other temperature-sensitive products.

The High Performance Pallet Shipper (HPPS) developed by EMBALL’ISO is a high-performance insulated packaging solution qualified to ISTA 7D (Summer & Winter) standards. It maintains thermal autonomy for up to 144 hours for sensitive products requiring temperature-controlled transport, particularly in the healthcare and biotechnology sectors.

We offer reusable insulated packaging for the temperature-controlled transport of pharmaceutical, biological, and healthcare products. With our Reuse & Reverse service, we manage the entire reuse loop of your packaging: collection after use, quality control, cleaning, repair, refurbishment, and repositioning.

Unlike a consumer cooler bag, a professional insulated bag such as those offered by EMBALL’ISO is tested under real-life transport conditions, maintains a temperature range of +2°C to +8°C for up to 24 hours, and complies with the AFNOR NF S 99700 standard, which provides a framework for devices designed to maintain the cold chain. This is the reference standard used by the Research & Development Laboratory when carrying out thermal tests.
